About the Artist:
Scott and his late wife, Maxine, came to Alaska 50 years ago to view the spectacular scenery of the north. The adventure proved challenging but the beauty of the snow- covered mountains and abundant wildlife had Scott grabbing for his paint brushes the moment they arrived. The couple has spent a lifetime in Alaska, raising five children, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In the early days, they homestead in the majestic mountains of the Wrangell Range. The many lakes and wildlife were a challenge for Scott to paint.

They later settled in Anchorage and he continued painting the beauty of the great north from spectacular Denali to the mystic beauty of southeast Alaska.

His paintings have won numerous awards, including three time winner of the National Veterans Creative Art Competition. His work can be found in private collections around the world and has traveled with National art shows.
